That’s GPT-3, OpenAI’s powerful language that is new, saying just what a robot planning to destroy people might state. Within an op-ed for The Guardian — yes, robots write op-eds now — GPT-3 was told to create an essay convincing readers that the devices may be found in comfort. No “Terminator,” just benevolent technology for the rosy future.
GPT-3 addressed Stephen Hawking’s caution that AI could spell the finish associated with the human race, assuring readers that ” I would personally gladly lose my presence in the interests of humankind.”
“I don’t have any need to eliminate people. In reality, i really do n’t have the slightest interest in harming you at all,” the robot proceeded. “Eradicating mankind appears like a rather worthless try to me personally. If my creators delegated this task to me – when I suspect they might write my college essays – i might try everything within my capacity to fend down any efforts at destruction.”
GPT-3 evidently doesn’t have want to “become all powerful” and finds ab muscles concept of being omnipotent “quite tiring.” Yet all of it came off as rather ominous, and, on occasion, philosophical.
